“I am sorry to have to tell you this, but your son (age 6) isn’t going to make it.”

This was the Medical doctor’s report given to my parents in 1954. I am thankful that a friend of the family said, “You have tried everything else, why don’t you take him to my Chiropractic Doctor.”

As a young boy, I was in the Emergency Room 3 to 5 nights a week gasping for air. I was allergic to most foods, animals and whatever was floating in the air. Despite the multitude of antihistamines, antibiotics and other prescription drugs I was given, I was constantly sneezing and coughing while struggling with asthma and eczema on my legs, arms and body. I weighed just over 30 lbs. and couldn’t sleep.

The Chiropractic Doctor was very different. The treatment involved no prescriptions, drugs or shots. It involved caring hands adjusting my spinal column to free up the nervous system allowing my body to heal itself naturally. I slept all night for the first time in years and began my path to having a healthy body. It was so miraculous that my father decided to become a doctor of Chiropractic so he could also help to change the lives of those in needs. After having my life changed and watching my father help so many others, I decided to follow in his footsteps.

Chiropractic Education

I gathered a tremendous amount of knowledge observing my father in his successful practice. I was lucky enough to become an employee in his office and watch the lives of many sick people miraculously gain health without drugs or surgery. Their lives were changed for the better just like I had personally experienced.

The doctors and professors who taught me were masters in knowledge and their craft. I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1971; attended many post graduate courses and seminars with my father, brother, sons and nephews and have been in a wonderful practice for 40 years. We all have been blessed with a sincere passion for helping people regain their health and change their lives.

My Philosophy is Simple and Effective

You are what you eat or provide yourself nutritionally. The power that created the body can heal the body once you determine the cause of the problem and remove the interference so that the nervous system, digestive system and the blood or vascular system can communicate effectively. After 40 years of clinical practice, I feel the most important things you must watch are your posture, spinal flexibility, mobility, fitness and digestive function. I feel if you take care of these major aspects and all else will likely stay in balance.

I have been truly blessed with a wonderful family. We share an eternal unconditional love beyond understanding. I am the oldest of 157 great grandchildren. My mother still lives and has created an incredible progeny. I am her oldest and have 6 children and 10 grandchildren. Music is a major part of our lives with singing, dancing and playing multiple musical instruments. Creating marvelous, healthy and tasty dishes tops my list. I enjoy most outdoor hobbies on land or water and can be quite competitive with them!

In forty years, I have not missed a single day of work due to illness and most people are surprised at my age, flexibility and often ask “my secret” which might be my eternal optimism. I regularly utilize Chiropractic adjustments, perform mobilizing stretching techniques, exercise regularly and feel the best when I ride my bicycle 30 miles 5 to 7 times per week. I follow Jack LaLanne’s philosophy of when you cook food you kill it and I try to eat as much raw and fermented food as I can. Much of my best food comes from my organic garden. I also enjoy staying abreast on the latest nutritional anti-aging technology.

I always enjoy meeting new people and look forward to meeting you. I would love to share my accumulated health knowledge with you and your family. Please call Haggard Chiropractic so we can help to change your life for the better. See how Phoenix chiropractic can help you today!
